John was born in 1963, in Graaff-Reinet and attended one of the local schools, Union High, where he matriculated in 1981. In 1986, after doing four years in the South African Navy, he returned to Graaff-Reinet to join his father’s motor business In 1999, after the business closed, John joined Qantam Risk Services and did various surveys for Alexander Forbes Risk Services. John joined Midboard in April 2002 and manages the short-term insurance portfolio. In September 2002 John completed his Certificate of Proficiency (COP) exam in short-term insurance. Recently Midboard reinstated the estate agency business which John and André manage. |
